How To Qualify for the JSSC JE Exam In 3 Months’ Time?

The JSSC JE recruitment exam is held to select eligible and worthy candidates for the junior engineer position in various technical departments of the Jharkhand government. The JSSC JE exam consists of two papers. The number of questions, duration, and topics for both papers may vary. Go through this article thoroughly to understand these details and the best books for the JSSC JE exam.

The JSSC JE syllabus will have only mains exam.  The Mains paper is divided into two papers. Paper 1 consists of General Engineering questions from all specializations of Engineering, such as Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical. Paper 2 is an elective, as the candidate needs to appear for the selected specialization of Engineering.

There are two papers in this exam. The first one is the Objective type.

For technical subjects, go for basics, especially theoretical questions, because they hardly ask hard numerical questions ( just value putting on simple formulas). Solve 10 previous years’ papers as most questions are repeated, and read Gupta & Gupta objective books to enhance your knowledge in the theoretical part.

Now, let’s move to the second paper, the Conventional type.

First, go through the basics from any study by BYJU’S. After that, go through the past 10 years’ previous papers of JSSC JE (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical). Solve 4 previous year papers from the ESE exam too, since questions are similar. It is recommended to take the test series for better time management and speed of solving questions. It will help enhance your speed with accuracy. Focus on solving all questions since the marking scheme is quite unpredictable in JSSC, so attempting all questions is necessary for JSSC.

Given below are some of the important books for JEES JE Exam.

Jharkhand GK

Jharkhand Samanya Gyan by Manish Ranjan

Math

Fast Track Objective Arithmetic by Rajesh Verma

Mental Ability

A New Approach to Reasoning Verbal & Non-Verbal published by Arihant publication and written by B.S Sijwali & Indu Sijwali

Computer knowledge

Objective computer awareness published by Arihant experts

For Static GK, you will need to study the basics and essential points of History, Geography, Science, etc., which are permanent and will not change for a longer time.

For Current affairs, I suggest you refer to a good newspaper such as The Hindu Daily and note down some important news and points. You can also refer to the Manorama Yearbook, which contains important current affairs topics.

  1. Maximum quality input cannot exceed 7-8 hours. More than this will be a waste of time. You will fail to absorb and therefore feel bad that you are a dull student.
  2. Keep all other subject books, except the one you must study, out of your sight. Avoid unnecessary mental burdens. It will help you concentrate and improve efficiency.
  3. Have proper sleep and rest. You cannot add to your study hours by sleeping less.
  4. Mark days and hours for each part of the syllabus to be covered and follow it religiously. Keep making minor adjustments.
  5. Keep some time aside for breaks and entertainment. It will not be a waste of time but will increase your output.

BYJU’S Exam Prep helps you to prepare for the exams. BYJU’S Exam Prep also helps with the technical knowledge of the subject since it is an essential part of preparation. It also helps with English, reasoning, quantitative, general awareness, computer, General Knowledge, and technical sections.
