Pavers need to be sealed to prevent deterioration

Protection is one of the benefits of sealing your pavers. In fact, it may be the most important benefit. Paver Sealing in Orlando protects them from several things, including Florida’s harsh environment. I don’t know where you are in the country. We have extremely hot weather here in Florida. It’s extremely sunny, humid, and it’s very wet.

The sealer will provide a level of UV protection. The effect is similar to sunscreen. It is recommended to reseal every two years. Depending on how much coverage you get in the area, sometimes three years. Protecting it is definitely worthwhile. Makes it stain-resistant as many people enjoy barbecuing in their backyards. You can end up with a lot of different stains on your pavers if you use sunblock lotion. Therefore, when you seal your pavers, you will be able to get most of the stains out, if you act quickly.

We even had a case where a stray cat ran through a neighborhood after new asphalt was put down, leaving paw prints, and then ran up somebody’s driveway. Despite its cute looks, the homeowner wasn’t too enamored with it. As it was sealed, we got out there fast and with a little chemical we had and a little elbow grease, we were able to remove the cat prints. Those would have been almost permanent in the pores of the bricks if it hadn’t been sealed.

The bricks’ color is enhanced by sealing pavers

However, the real benefit of sealing (at least the one that’s most popular with our clients) is how it looks. It really enhances colors. A wide variety of sealers are available, and they provide superior color enhancement. This is sometimes referred to as a wet look. The enhanced look is another name for it. Either way, what it does is darken and enrich the brick’s colours. Color is not changed, however. Whenever it is damp or wet, it brings out that paver’s color and brings out its natural beauty.

Bricks shine thanks to sealers

It depends a lot on where you are in the country. You can certainly use these types of sealers if you live up North and you do not have high humidity and high water tables. This would need to be tested in a small area. Unless you’re in those areas and do a test spot, stay away from high gloss, due to the slipperiness and whiting issues.
