If you have the latest Windows then okay, you can instant the new Windows and get better performance in your operating system. Alternatively, you can “Reset the Windows” and get a fresh Windows experience. Further, you can also format the USB flash drive with the help of a command prompt in Windows 10.
In our case, we don’t have the latest Windows, and we want to reset our laptop. Because since some days my PC is not working well, facing lag problem in my operating system. So I want to reset my pc, details are mentioned below:
Reset the PC in Windows 10
Reset the PC in Windows 10 is simple, make sure you follow the all steps that are mentioned here. then you will be able to “Reset the PC in Windows 10”:
- Open the PC and refresh it
- Go into the search bar (at the left bottom corner)
- Write “Reset this PC”
- Open the reset options
- Click on “Get Started”
- There will be two options
- Choose one according to your requirements
- Its take some time and show a popup “Getting things ready”
- After this you need to confirm it for further reset process.
Details how to “Reset the PC in Windows 10”:
First, open the PC and refresh it 1 to 3 times, go into the “search bar” and type “Reset this PC”, you can access it at the left bottom corner. Click on it and there will be show reset option.
Second, click on “Get Started”, also mentioned in the image. Further, you can choose other options if you want to restart the PC with (Advanced Startup) such as “Startup from device or disc”.
Third, after this, there will be two options which you can reset your pc with “Keep my files” or “remove everything”.
In the first option, all PC settings and apps will be removed but personal files will be remaining. In the second option, all PC settings, personal files, and apps will be removed.
It takes some time to further reset the process, after this you need to confirm it and wait until when resetting the process completely. Make sure the PC or Laptop has enough charging. Don’t turn off the PC while process.
It takes almost 1 to 2 hours, and also depends on your system. The PC will be turn off and turn on while resetting, so don’t worry this is normal.
